Seeking an experienced Account Executive in the Chicago Region who has current and in-depth knowledge of this territory and possesses strong experience in international freight forwarding and ocean/airfreight products.

DESCRIPTION As an Account Executive you will be responsible for expanding your client base in the assigned territory by selling our clients solutions and products to new/prospective clients within your territory. You must possess a passion for success, be a self starter who is prepared to develop a territory coverage plan, execute against the plan, and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets in a highly competitive environment. A successful candidate needs to have all of the following qualifications:
High School Degree and 4-6 years related experience in freight forwarding and air/ocean carrier sales OR BA/BS and 1-3 years of related experience in freight forwarding and air/ocean carrier sales Must possess experienced in international Logistics Services Must possess current experience in the Chicago Territory Ability to maximize all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in the taking of market share from larger competitors through prospecting, cold calling and new client acquisition. Organizational and strong time management skills and discipline to maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within assigned territory, including the use of Microsoft Outlook for communications and Customer Relation Management (CRM) System to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential. Goal-Oriented, highly motivated and able to develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking. Meet and exceed quotas on monthly and quarterly basis. Ability to work independently without management having to constantly inquire about sales activity status. Team player with proven ability to work under pressure Adaptability to changes in the work environment - manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office Products, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
